Ann JonesDr. Bill Jones

Bill and Ann Jones purchased the River Forks Inn in 2004 after a successful career as publishers of veterinary journals, newsletters and books. Bill’s background as a veterinarian and Ann’s in journalism made for an effective team for producing the Journal of Equine Veterinary Science for 25 years. After selling the Journal, they purchased the centry-old hotel and stage stop, and spent a year remodeling the rooms. The River Forks Inn is now their retirement and home. They welcome guests to come and enjoy a taste of the old west in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.

A Family Affair

Our son Roy (left) visits at the bar with a customer. Roy was our manager for two years. Now he helps out only occasionally as he has another job.

Our grandson Christopher and his wife Jamie will (above) serve you at the bar, cook and serve your breakfast. They live on the premesis and help Bill and Ann with every aspect of the business.

Below, our sons, daughters, and their spouses dance at Ann’s birthday party.

Our son Troy (above) sings karaoke with a guest. Troy sings every Friday night.

Welcome guests. I’ll meet you at the door with a commplimentary glass of wine, or soft drink, and you can relax in one of our comfortable lounge areas while we get your room in order.

Come and enjoy our western hospitality. I’d like to hear your stories, and I enjoy telling mine. If you would like a primer, read about “My Slices of Life.”
